This just past New Year, a couple of blog people mentioned that there was another Blog Awards thingy open for nominations, and that they had been so kind as to nominate me. Having seen, and been peripherally involved in, the JonnyB voting debacle I decided it was best to leave it well alone.

And I did. For three whole days.

However, I have now looked into it, and the Bloggies are much like the Oscars for Blogs, only without the sparkly dresses and spontaneous podium weeping (which I could do if it is required and any judges are reading). So I have decided that, much like the replica Optimus Prime in the run up to Christmas 1986, I really really want one.  Of these:

Of course, I couldn’t possibly just ask you all to go over there right now and nominate me for Best New Blog. But if you don’t, I will burn down your house. Ha Ha, only kidding. I would probably focus on your cars first. Less residual forensic evidence you see. It is attention to detail like this that ensures I remain a free man.

Seriously though, the site is here, and there are some other very good blogs deserving of your nominations, many of which are listed in the Blogroll on the right, so if you would be so kind, please take a minute and pop over there and nominate me (for Best New Blog, obviously) and also nominate a couple of the others (as you must nominate at least 3 in total, across any of the categories). All purely to satisfy my inner spoilt child. And to stop your car spontaneously combusting in unusual, yet somehow expected, circumstances.

Although this literally is a popularity contest, I really do not care if you like me or not, this is purely an ego thing.  This is what I am like.  It would save a lot of time if you people stopped looking for my hidden depths, you should all simply accept that I really am this shallow.
